Beto de Volder - 2018
Acrylic on MDF / Measures: 110 x 155 cm
Galería del Infinito
From the exhibition "Colectiva de Verano" presented by Galería del Infinito, we choose to post about the artworks of Beto de Volder (Argentina, 1962) because of their particular geometry.
One of them, which has no color, is made by a series of interlocking curves that spread around in different directions. The shapes cross each other randomly and the entire group of them is placed on the wall, reaching towards the visitors (there’s no cut between the curves and our perception). The same happens with "Sin Título" (2014), but this time the curves along the wall have color. This presence of the abstract and the visual blends with our space and there’s nothing between us and the shapes the artist creates.
