Maestros. El Bosque y el Arbol.

09/01/16 - Throughout four years, Gaby Messina (1971) photographed 112 visual artists of Argentina. The pictures were taken in the privacy of their studios or homes, surrounded by their sculptures, paintings or videos. All this material, under the curatorial work of Rodrigo Alonso, gave birth to "Maestros, El bosque y el Árbol", an exhibition now open at the Bellas Artes.
The portraits of these creators, all of them key protagonists of Argentine culture in the past decades, are presented with a documentary video in which they share personal anecdotes and stories, some of them quite deep and intense.

In all the photos, the artists look straight to the camera, and to us, visitors and witnesses of their cultural heritage. And it's through these pictures that we are given a chance to enter into their worlds.
