Street Art...

9/10/15 - Subodh Gupta is an artist from India, known for transforming daily-life objects into gigantic installations that reflect on global issues and his very own cultural heritage.
Nowadays, one of his latest works is on display at the Exhibition Road in London, the street where the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A)'s Entrance gives to.
The piece is called "When Soak Become Spill", and it contains the pans, saucepans, jugs and other pieces of stainless steel kitchenware we use daily, specially in his home country. A huge bucket tries in vain to contain them all. The spill represents how we waste our natural resources. Their brightness makes them attractive to our eyes, but they are empty. Just as today's society of consumerism: rich in comforts and objects, poor in spirit, humanity and equality.
The installation was specially created for V&A's India Festival.
