Upcoming exhibitions of Renaissance and Baroque Art...
12:41 p.m.
Yesterday the Museo de Arte Decorativo received the artworks that will take part in "Meraviglie dalle Marche II": an exhibition of 36 masterpieces by such artists as Tintoretto, Tiziano and Francesco Guerrieri, among others. This is the second instalment of this exhibition (the first one was held in 2012) showcasing works belonging to the museums of the Regione Marche, an Italian region rich in art which used to be home for the court of the Duke of Urbino. That's precisely where the great masters of Renaissance and Baroque lived and received their art assignments.

On the other hand, the MNBA is preparing an exhibition dedicated to Doménikos Theotokópoulos, known as El Greco (Greece, 1541 – Spain, 1614), because 2014 marks the 400th anniversary of his death.
For the exhibition, the MNBA will be presenting works of its own permanent collection, plus others lent by museums around the world, so visitors will be able to truly appreciate the particular skill of this artist.
