An impressive staging...

El círculo caminaba tranquilo, the temporary exhibition at the MAMBA, is the living proof that there are other ways to display pieces of art. The staging, designed by Daniela Thomas, defies tradition. She transformed the room into a white landscape in which the works (belonging to Deutsche Bank's Collection and MAMBA's) float in waving movement.

The curator, Victoria Noorthorn, took the name of the exhibition El círculo caminaba tranquilo from the short story Genealogía, by Uruguayan writer Felisberto Hernández.
The Deutsche Bank Collection is one of the largest in the world in works of paper. The exhibition displays also other works belonging to the museum. All of them have in common the fragility, as also its closeness. We can all access a sheet of paper, anywhere, anytime. The MNBA has a Modigliani drawing on paper: a few lines to portray a friend. Lots of talent.
