Visiting art galleries in Punta del Este...

Art also likes going on vacation. In Manantiales, a large white cube houses Galería del Paseo and,  from outside, the big windows call the attention of passersby towards the works of Beto de Volder. Inside, several of his most recent projects, done in the last two years, show, true to his style, the ribbons that plough through space. An example of kind contemporary art, with movement and barely two colours.

In the meantime, twenty works by Pedro Figari (Montevideo, 1861-1938), from his early beginnings to his journey to Buenos Aires and his latest years, are on exhibition at La Barra' Galería Sur. Unforgettable: a display of paintings deserving a museum hall. For all the art lovers out there and a chance to see how was the life in Buenos Aires during the first years of the 20th century.

Should you love to take with you one of these works, you should think of three-ceros numbers in dollars for the Galería del Paseo and above five-ceros for Galería Sur. But the most interesting thing these two galleries have to offer is the opportunity to see the work by these artists up-close. Admire the brush strokes and the materials used from a distance impossible at museums, were guards are always eager to call our attention or alarms start beeping. And if those galleries are near the sea, much better.
