Intimate Visions...
12:22 a.m.Art and design came together at an exhibition that crossed all the lines proposed by a historical culture that never sought this communion. It took place at the White Cube Gallery in Paris, a space that is very difficult to locate, despite the technological or analogical aids available. At 10, Avenue Matignon, under the title Intimate Visions, ceramic chairs, armchairs, and amphorae joined Sterling Rubi's avant-garde FP(8643) and the imaginative figuration of Franz von Stuck, among others.
FP (8643), by Sterling Ruby (2024)
Material: bronze / Measures: 220.3 x 32.7 x 48.3 cm
Centaur and Cupid, by Franz von Stuck (1902)
Technique: oil on canvas / Measures: 99 x 102.5 x 5 cm
Apparently, it was time to culturally heal the gap that separated artistic from decorative pieces. Perhaps some very astute individual in the market cut the imaginary "velvet ropes" that separated them: the edges blurred. We wait to see what this patchwork of creative expression will bring.
