First Prize...

04/08/21 - Individuos Sustanciales, by Mariano Giraud, received the first prize from the Andreani Foundation. The work is an installation made up of 3D printed sculptures that is completed when the viewer, using a virtual reality gadget, can walk through it. Thus, the traditional observation (what we see in the photos) is added to the movement of the characters, sounds and a certain abysmal sensation of weightlessness when we use the virtual reality goggles. Two opposing realities: one in which strange characters, knives, hands and skulls, located on a platform at the height of the viewer, invite us to visit a world of fantasy, and the other in which virtuality leads us to fully immerse ourselves in a vision of pink and green colors, something like an undulating landscape with the same characters hovering everywhere.
