Resilience...
3:41 p.m.03/19/21 - With our current crisis in mind, blended with her academic training, Vivienne Duchini presents Resilience at the gardens of the renovated Palacio Noel. It's a contemporary composition that challenges balance.
The patinated iron gives life to a voluminous sculpture that hides an internal void, a fragmented form (there is only the front part of the torso) that rises in brave movement. And although the body looks imperfect due to the cutout (a characteristic structure of what art offers us in the 21st century), the quality of the workmanship stands out. Duchini personally models, melts and applies the patina, using the lost wax technique, a typical legacy of classical traditions.
The exhibition displays other works by this animalist sculptor, distributed throughout the garden, but today we choose Resilience because that is how we intend to face the future.
