Fluir Flow / Flow Fluir

06/09/16 - Felisa Gradowczyk, curated by Edward J. Sullivan, is exhibiting her works at the Centro Cultural Borges. It's a very creative variety of sculptures, photo-montages, installations and drawings. But probably the main highlights are her airy sculptures made with wires, that hang from the ceiling or are held from a base. They amaze by their lightness and their structure, which allows air and space to flow between them. This is probably why the exhibition is entitled "Fluir Flow / Flow Fluir".

One of the artworks refers to a bit exhausted concept: that of the "virtual" cloud.  Of course, when we hear the word cloud we cannot help but think of the blue cloud of your childhood. But Felisa created a different one, a twisted metal one, with its own visual weight.

According to the curator, Felisa is aware of the artistic movements present in today's world, but she chooses to recall ethical and tactile values on her reflections of daily life.

Among wires and white plastic meshes, there's a ghostly world to discover, a world that proves the skill of the artist to mould, turn and twist.
