Martha Rosler...

5:12 p.m.

Today, another example of kitchenware in a starring role in Art, as we have seen in Mona Hatoum's work. This time we will show you a performance done by Martha Rosler (USA, 1943) in 1973, in which she names daily objects used in the kitchen, and explains exaggeratedly their uses: apron, plate, fork, bowl and grater have their five seconds of fame. Some letters of the alphabet too.
This artwork was conceived as a critic to cooking shows on TV. It was caught on tape with the technology available back then, thus the lack of definition and square format.
