1. María Cher - Fall/Winter 2014 Collection
The vibrant color palette of María Cher looks similar to that in this Pérez Célis' (1939-2008) painting from the 60s. The saturated contrasts in Pérez Celis, a kind of approach to northern textiles, show the importance of ancient cultures in today's popular culture, as reflected in Cher's designs. The combination of colour blocks in white, red and black is a legacy of the greatness of pre-Columbian tribes.
Designer Elie Saab took the paleness in the palette of Sir Lawrence Alma-Taderma (Holanda, 1836–Londres, 1912), the 19th Century artist known for his portrays of elegant women.
