Fernando Botero at Hong Kong's Art Basel...

Almost simultaneously to ArteBA in Buenos Aires, another Contemporary Art Fair had collectors raving! It was the ArtBasel, held in Hong Kong, where 240 galleries from 35 different countries presented works of approximately 3000 artists.
One of them was the David Zwirner gallery, from USA, which exhibited works by Adel Abdessemed: three soldiers done in charcoal, surrounding a white aluminium horse as a way to bring attention to death, life and war.
From Buenos Aires, Jorge Mara's gallery, La Ruche, made the long trip to the East, carrying paintings by artist Eduardo Stupía.

A photo of the fair helps us discover the sculptures and paintings of another Latin American artist blessed by the art markets: Fernando Botero.
The Swiss gallery Gmurzynska presented 6 recent works by Botero, including an oil painting.
