The studio by the window...

In the month of February, Paloma Varga Weisz (Germany, 1966) settled in the MASSIMODECARLO Pièce Unique gallery, in Paris, right in the room that overlooks the street. Right there, for a couple of weeks, she worked as if she were in her workshop, setting up the Paloma Varga Weisz Studio in a few square meters.

Visitors, curious people, passersby, neighbors and others had the opportunity to see an artist absorbed in her task (the public and the private brought together). A unique opportunity to observe up close how the pieces that we always see finished were taking shape. Varga Weisz was surrounded by her instruments, her work table and the occasional finished or half-made sculpture.

In this environment where “a secret has been revealed” two spaces that function independently were combined: the gallery and the workshop.
