11/06/19 - "Dios es Inmigrante" is an installation of attached objects that together look like a giant cross. When we look closer, we discover a dismantled car, elevated as a banner. The piece belongs to Mariana Tellería (Argentina, 1979) and it’s currently on display at Plaza Seeber since April’s Art Week in Buenos Aires.

The height of the installation is shocking and so are the wheels. The par, placed in such an uncommon position, becomes an adoration object that questions us. As in all Contemporary Art pieces, there’s not one viewpoint: a 360° tour is required to appreciate to work of this young artist that reminds us of Villar Rojas and his large dimensions.
The location of the artwork, however, does not seem appropriate, because it blend with the flora and, as it is placed next to an avenue, it can go unnoticed. Not many people walk the area, just cars at high speed. If the traffic lights allow it, we get to see it and appreciate it at large.
