We invite you to enjoy this video where Raúl Alesón, MNBA's restorer, explains the restauration process of Bacante (Bacchante), by Arturo Dresco (1875-1961), sculpted in 1895. It will be presented to the public as part of the exhibition "Memoria de la escultura, 1895-1914. Colección MNBA", opening on October 16th.
The Bacchantes (Bacchanal women) were the women participating in the parties held in Rome to honor Bacchus.
